The American Civil Liberties Union and the ACLU of Mississippi filed a lawsuit against a Mississippi high school that excluded a female student's name and senior portrait from the yearbook rather than publish a photo of her in a tuxedo. Target: No Donations for LGBT Groups. There are currently over 40 certificate and degree granting programs with at least five institutions in the United States offering an undergraduate major; a growing number of similar courses are offered in countries other than the United States

1. Question: Name this university, which offered the first undergraduate course in the United States on LGBTQ studies in the spring, 1970. Hint: It’s across the bay from a very gay city. Answer: University of California at Berkeley.

2. Question: Name the city location of this university, which launched the first university program in gay and lesbian studies in 1986. Answer: New York City, home of the City University of New York.

3. Question: Name this college, which claims to have the first queer studies department in the US (in 1989). It offered gay literature courses beginning in 1972. Answer: City College of San Francisco.
