Iceland: Johanna Siguroardottir, the nation's lesbian minister of social affairs was expected to be chosen as the country’s caretaker prime minister this week, making her the word’s first known openly gay head of state. One chapter is devoted to coming out, which, in Bragman’s world, extends beyond gay issues to anyone with a secret. A long-time gay and HIV activist who’s been out for decades, Bragman says outing is still an issue that must be carefully navigated.
